Sun Enterprise Portlets |

| The goal of the design effort was to create 16 portlets that would serve as simple interfaces to enterprise applications from within a customer's portal. The portlets were interfaces for features from four different applications that provided CRM, procurement, and employee management functionality. The main users of the portlets were employees accessing their employee portals so the interface had to function for non-technical users. In addition, they needed to be designed quickly (two months including remote team reviews and revisions) for Sun's Portal Server to meet customer demands. |

| Customer Accounts |
| This portlet provided access to CRM sales functionality. The UI was simplified so that only the most frequently used data was included and readily available. Screen real estate was reduced and clutter was removed. |

| Shopping Cart |
| This shopping cart was adapted from the original application so that the screens and complexity were significantly reduced. The final design was streamlined from 3 screens down to one so that it could fit into a channel on a portal. |

| Employee Time Reporting |
| This portlet was the result of a redesign of time reporting functionality that spanned two large screens in the original application. The final portlet occupied much less screen real-estate and conformed with web standards. |
